Facilitation Training

Be a more effective, able, and unique facilitator by identifying strengths and challenges in your current presentation style. Sharpen your ability to set the tone you want and provide a consistent context for your work. Groups have personalities of their own: heighten your accuracy and flexibility in recognizing your groups’ needs and abilities. Broaden the relevance of your style to diverse groups, using inclusive techniques to “speak” to everyone and sustain palpable group interest and safety. Increase your abilities to assertively set boundaries and keep things on track. And have fun exploring simple and effective performance techniques to keep your group and you engaged.

Experiential Workshop Design

Break out! Chalk and talk is dead! Make learning an unforgettable experience for your participants. Experiential learning is emotionally compelling, high-impact, long-lasting, and puts your information into people's minds, bodies, and souls simultaneously. Let your passions be expressed in a high level of creativity in your workshop designs. Utilize simple arts-based practices anyone can do to appeal to all styles of learning: kinesthetic, auditory, visual, concrete, and abstract. Create rhythms of emotional depth, pure fun, core information, and team-building into experiences your participants will remember and be fully able to utilize long afterwards.

Mentorship

David is occasionally asked by parents, schools, or other organizations to mentor youth who are struggling through a challenging stretch of life. He is clear is on the uniqueness of the mentoring role, and is sensitive to the communication required of him to all involved parties to make it safe and effective. He has mentored youth through violence issues, social ostracism, disordered eating, peer pressures, and sexual orientation concerns. David has handled numerous personal disclosures, many of which legally required other responsible parties to be notified. He is well-versed in the legal requirements of handling disclosures and can offer a criminal record check and references to interested parties. Contact him with any queries you may have.
